Durante más de 15 años, ha trabajado en organización comunitaria de base, promoción, políticas, participación cívica, coaliciones y campañas. Cecilia extiende un análisis agudo y un marco de justicia lingüística a los problemas que afectan a las personas BIPOC, Queer Trans en el Sur. Es miembre de la mesa directiva de Trans Housing Coalition y Demo Lemo Lab South, y es cofundadore de Somos Sur Language Justice Crew.

For more than 15 years, they have worked in grassroots community organizing, advocacy, policy, civic engagement, coalitions and campaigns. Cecilia extends a sharp analysis and a language justice frame to issues impacting BIPOC, Queer and Trans people in the South. They serve on the Board of Trans Housing Coalition and Demo Lemo Lab South and is co-founder of Somos Sur Language Justice Crew.

Se acercó por primera vez al concepto de justicia del lenguaje a través del Centro por el Cambio Participativo, en donde recibió múltiples capacitaciones que la impulsarían junto con un diverso grupo de mujeres inmigrantes a co-fundar "Somos Sur” en el estado de Georgia. Juliana ha trabajado como traductora e intérprete virtual y presencial con un amplio rango de organizaciones de justicia social, entre las que se encuentran Detention Watch Network, Cenzontle Language Justice Coop, American Civil Liberties Union, Southeast Inmigrant Rights Network y Vision, Change, Win entre otras.
First approached the concept of language justice through the Center for Participatory Change, where she received various trainings that would propel her, along with a diverse group of immigrant women, to co-found "Somos Sur" in the state of Georgia. Juliana has worked as a translator and virtual and in-person interpreter with a wide range of social justice organizations, including Detention Watch Network, Cenzontle Language Justice Coop, American Civil Liberties Union, Southeast Immigrant Rights Network and Vision, Change, Win among others.

Crys zaragoza (they/them/elle/les) is a latine, queer and non-binary marxist-abolitionist. crys has worked in a wide range of social justice movements and joined Somos Sur LJ in 2019 with over 10 years of experience in community organizing, advocacy, campaigning, and civic engagement. for crys, language justice is one of the core foundations for transforming oppressive systems that negatively impact Black and brown trans, queer, and migrant communities.
Crys Zaragoza (elle/les) es une marxista-abolicionista latine, queer y no binarie. Crys ha trabajado en una amplia gama de movimientos de justicia social y se unió a Somos Sur LJ en 2019 con más de 10 años de experiencia en organización comunitaria, defensa, campañas y participación cívica. Para Crys, la justicia lingüística es uno de los pilares fundamentales para transformar los sistemas opresivos que impactan negativamente a las comunidades trans, queer y migrantes negras y racializadas.
